Jacob hails from Crosby-Ironton, MN – the start of the Iron Range. He obtained degrees in Wilderness Management, Fisheries & Wildlife, Biology, and Wilderness Medical Services. The summers of 2012 and 2013 he interned as a Park Naturalist at Itasca State Park, sparking his passion for outdoor education. In the fall of 2014, he blazed his trail to Long Lake Conservation Center in Palisade, MN to begin teaching. After a two-year hiatus working as a professional fishing guide in Montana, he returned to Minnesota.
He just finished his third summer season at Lutsen Resort. Jacob hopes to see you on the water or on the trail, as he’ll say ”bring the fun, rain or shine, let’s go out and play!”
