Listed below are the various options we offer for wedding events. Fees will be charged according to your selections. In addition to the event fees, Lutsen Resort has a minimum lodging requirement for all wedding groups. Please inquire with our Groups Sales team for lodging details and policies.
Nelson Suite| $150 – $500
This intimate space overlooking Lake Superior is a popular choice for a rehearsal dinner, bridal suite or gift opening. It can accommodate up to 50 people.
- $150 for 1/2 day rental (8 am – 3 pm)
- $300 for full day rental (8 am – 10 pm)
Ceremony in the Nelson Suite | $500
- Rental includes our PA system with two microphones and iPod capabilities, tables, chairs, china and linens at ceremony and social.
Dinner in the Nelson Suite | $500 (seating up to 50, buffet only)
- Rental includes tables, chairs, china, stemware and set-up and take-down of listed items.
Beach Ceremony Site| $500
- Rental is for the use of our pebble beach for a standing ceremony.
Lakeside Lawn Ceremony Site | $1,000
Lutsen Resort offers the largest lakeside ceremony site on the North Shore. This fee covers the use of our premium lawn shoreline for a seated ceremony and a back-up venue in the event of inclement weather. Included in this fee is the set-up and take-down of the provided equipment listed below.
- Arch for ceremony;
- PA system with two microphones and iPod capabilities at ceremony;
- Tables, chairs, china and linens at ceremony.
Lakeview Patio Social | $250
Our covered lakeview patio can be reserved for a post-ceremony social. This space is made available for groups looking to host hors-d’oeuvres and drinks before moving on to dinner. Bartender service, beverages and food available at menu price. A full bar is available ($100 set-up fee and $300 minimum purchase agreement). Hosted keg/bottled beer and wine is available without a bar set-up fee or minimum requirement.
Lakeview Patio Dinner | $750
For groups of 70 or less, a full meal can be served on our covered lakeview patio. This fee includes the rental charge, tables, linens, chairs, china and stemware and set-up and take-down. This is a great option for a smaller wedding meal or for a rehearsal dinner. A full bar is available ($100 set-up fee and $300 minimum purchase agreement). Hosted keg/bottled beer and wine is available without a bar set-up fee or minimum requirement.
Although all fees are the same, certain policies and restrictions apply for our premium weekends. Please contact our Group Sales team for more information about our premium weekends.
Lakeside Dining Room | No rental fee, but must meet Food & Beverage minimum
The views and ambiance of our Lakeside Dining Room make this the ideal meal space for groups up to 200. There is no rental fee for this space, however, groups wanting to reserve this space for a private function are required to meet a $4,000 daily Food and Beverage minimum. There is also a required dining time of 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Usage of our Lakeside Dining Room includes tables, chairs, china, stemware and set-up and take-down of listed items.
Premium weekends have different Food and Beverage minimums and stipulations. Please inquire with our Group Sales team regarding these dates and their availability.
Superior Ballroom Rental Fee | $2,000
This fee covers the ballroom rental as well as tables, chairs and linen for a dance-style reception. All receptions are required to end at 11:00 pm. A full bar is available ($100 set-up fee and $300 minimum purchase agreement). Hosted keg/bottled beer and wine is available without a bar set-up fee or minimum requirement.
There will be an additional $500 set-up fee for groups who opt to serve a meal in this space prior to their dance.
Beach Barbeque Site | $750
Our most popular rehearsal dinner option! This fee covers the rental charge, buffet equipment, set-up fees, picnic table seating and beach chef fee. A covered back-up venue is also included. Hosted keg/bottled beer and wine is available without a bar set-up fee or minimum requirement.
Beach Bonfire Site | $100
A private beach bonfire is the perfect end to a North Shore wedding. This fee covers the cost of wood, the initial lighting of the fire by resort staff and reserved space.
