A Day in the Lutsen Area

Spend the day exploring the Lutsen area! While you can’t “do Lutsen” in a day, we’ve got an idea of what our “perfect day” is. Head to nearby Lutsen Mountains where you can ride a gondola to the top of Moose Mountain for some spectacular views. Take a thrilling ride on the Alpine slide. Check out a working sculpture studio, tour a maple syrup operation or hike up to the top of Oberg Mountain. Pick up a more detailed brochure of this day trip at our activities desk.

Stop at historic Gunflint Lodge for a bite to eat before or after viewing the fascinating, new Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center. By July, Gunflint Lodge should have their adventurous “Canopy Tour” complete. Watch for moose along the way….the “Trail” is notorious for moose sightings.
