A Day in the Boundary Waters


Experience a day paddling in the beautiful Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

Package includes:

  • Two or more nights lodging
  • Breakfast daily
  • One box lunch per person
  • One canoe with paddles and life jackets
    (Map, basic canoe instruction if needed and advice provided at the outfitters.  Additional canoes & equipment may be added for a fee).

This is a great opportunity to experience the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for a day.  Let us know when you get here what day you want to go and we'll get it organized for you! Head to our front desk in the morning, pick up your box lunch and take a 45 minute drive up the Sawbill Trail to Sawbill Canoe Outfitters on the edge of the Boundary Waters.  They'll have your canoe and equipment waiting.  For those familiar with canoeing, you'll be on the water shortly.  For those who would like some basic instruction in paddling, map reading or other day tripping skills, the outfitter will be happy to provide this part of your package.  Many people choose to paddle the Kelso Loop which includes a couple of very short portages and
a short section of quiet river.  Others choose to paddle up beautiful Sawbill Lake.  Either way,
you'll find great swimming and lunch spots.

This package available in all lodging types, from mid-May through the end of September.
