Job Listing Detail: Banquet Captain/ Leader Server

This position is a combination of Lead Fine Dining Server (80%) and Banquet Captain (20%). Must have strong service skills for fine dining, feel comfortable directing others as well as taking direction and advice from others. Would prefer some basic managerial/supervisory experience.
While in the role of Banquet Captain the candidate has the authority to direct servers and bussers and assign sections and duties to accomplish the set-up, service and break down of group functions and events. While in the role of Lead Fine Dining Server the candidate works on par with other servers but may assist management in making sure the closing duties are complete.
A strong candidate should have the ability to stay focused and calm in an ever changing environment with the primary focus centered on customer service. Candidate needs to be self-motivated, be able to work independently, prioritize and multi-task with speed and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to success in this position. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while providing a high level of guest service is critical. Candidate must have strong communication skills as well as active listening skills to interact with staff and guests.
- prior experience of at least 4 years in fine dining
- 2 years of banquet service
- minimum of 10 years in the hospitality industry.
Pay commensurate with experience.
