Job Description:
Lutsen Resort is seeking a full-time*, year round Assistant Activities & Recreation Director. The ideal applicant would be an outdoor education professional dedicated to providing high quality and safe recreational programs for Lutsen Resort Guests. Strong leadership, attention to detail, organizational skills and experience leading programs.

The applicant will be responsible for conducting and developing programs, supervising staff, acting as “second in charge”, maintaining equipment, and overseeing the activities desk in our main lobby.

The ideal applicant will have experience working with varied population including young children, teens, adults, ect… This applicant will be working year round so experience in leading both winter and summer activities such as sea kayaking, fly fishing, kids programs, yoga, crafts, naturalist programs, cross country skiing and snowshoeing is preferred. Strong sea kayaking experience or certifications are desirable.
The position is 40 hours a week position with a benefit plan and paid vacation.

*The position drops to 32 hours a week during November and April and is still considered full time hours.


For the right applicant there is potential for support with various certification, ie ACA Kayaking certification, Wilderness First Responder, CPR, Ect.
