State Parks
Within a 10 minute drive from Lutsen Resort, you'll find two of the most stunning Minnesota state parks: Cascade River State Park and Temperance River State Park. Both of these parks offer some of the best waterfalls in the state and within a short hike you'll see over 7 waterfalls on each river.
To the north, Judge C.R. Magney State Park hosts the Devil's Kettle. This is a waterfall that splits into two, one side continues down the river and the other disappears into a hole. Scientists still haven't found out where the water returns to the surface. Don't miss Grand Portage State Park on the Pigeon River. The High Falls is the tallest waterfall in the state.
