Arleigh Jorgenson Sled Dog Adventures

Arleigh Jorgenson, located just past Grand Marais, offers visitors an "up-close and authentic look" at all aspects of dog-sledding. You'll arrive right at Arleigh's home in the woods where he keeps his multitude of dogs. Get a chance to look around his place and visit with him about what it means to train, run and care for dog teams. Then, join him or one of his guides one a variety of dog sled ride experiences right from his backyard into the wild. Arleigh offers short one and two hour rides and half and full day rides. He also offers the opportunity to mush your own team if you are interested. There's hot cocoa and conversation available in the wall tent at the end!

Start or finish your North Shore vacation with a dog sled ride through Duluth’s non-profit Outdoor (ed)Ventures. Their tours are private party only, so your day with them will be very personal and catered towards you. Explore the kennel, meet the dogs, and help harness the team. Mush-your-own rides are always available. The perk of this non-profit is that every trip purchased helps fund free or low-cost (ed)Ventures for local children.
